To follow order of operations you have to follow pemdas! This is the order they are:
P= parentheses ( )
E= exponents (but we don’t use that)
M= multiplication x
D=Division÷
A= addition +
S=subtraction -

You use pemdas by using the order to help you with order of operations. Sometimes you’ll have 2 parentheses you would have to start from left to right.

Examples:
(2+2) x3-1

(400+26)÷(5-3)
